Keeping us Safe

Keeping us Safe

Did you know that anyone born on or after September 1, 1993, must have completed an approved boater safety course before operating any personal watercraft (PWC) or boat with a horsepower rating of  more than 15 HP or sailboat longer than 14 feet?  (Ref:  TPWD: Boating Laws FAQ)

The fine for violating this law is up to $500.

Did you know that by completing an approved boater safety course you may be eligible for discount on your boat owners insurance?

We are fortunate in that we have approved boater safety courses conducted right here at Lake Athens.
