It’s been a long time coming!
We are happy to announce that the NEW Lake Athens Property Owners Association website is up and running! We hope that you find it informative, attractive, fun and useful. You will see some of the same features, as well as some new ones.
One big difference is that you will need to REGISTER ON THE NEW WEBSITE in order to receive emails from LAPOA. You will need to create a username and a password. The new website is an SSL secured website (notice the ‘https’ in the address bar or the padlock in the status bar), so rest assured that your personal information is safeguarded.
Even if you joined LAPOA online on the old website, you will still need to register again on the new website by going to our Registration Page. You need your username and password to log in if ever you need to edit your profile, and because, in the future, we expect to have some content on the website that will be restricted to members only. Also, each family member who wishes to receive correspondence from LAPOA at their own email address, or to access the members-only content, will need to complete their own registration on the website.
If you need help with your AMWA Customer Number, look on the upper portion of your AMWA statement for Ingress and Egress. If you have already returned it with your payment, contact [email protected]. We may be able to look it up.
Once you register, the PayPal payment page will be displayed. If you have already paid your LAPOA membership for the period January 2014 – June 2015, PLEASE DO NOT PAY AGAIN.
Also, once you register, you will receive several emails from LAPOA. The first will ask you to click on a link to activate your registration. You must click on this link in order for the registration process to continue! When you do that, you will get a second email informing you that before you can access your account, our administrator needs to approve it. The final email will be to inform you that your application for membership in LAPOA has been approved (for those who are eligible for membership) or that it has been disapproved (for those who are not eligible for membership).
That’s it. Now it’s time to enjoy! Please feel free to poke around the website. If, by any chance, the unthinkable happens and you discover a problem, a broken link, or even a misspelled word or two, please do not hesitate to report it to [email protected]. We want our website, like Lake Athens, to be the best it can be!
