There will be a special MEMBERS-ONLY meeting to discuss the aquatic vegetation situation in Lake Athens.  The meeting will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, 6:30 pm, at the Hart-Morris Conservation Center of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC). The address is 5601 CR 4812 (enter from CR 4812/Peninsula Point Drive, not the TFFC main entrance).

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Richard A. Ott, Inland Fisheries District Management Supervisor of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).  Dr. Ott is a biologist and the Management Supervisor who manages Lake Athens’ fishery (not to be confused with TFFC) and numerous other lakes’ fisheries in this part of Texas.  There will be a Question & Answer session after Dr. Ott’s talk so come prepared to ask all of your questions regarding controlling aquatic vegetation.

Also invited are Bill Casey, Executive Director, Athens Municipal Water Authority (AMWA), as well as the entire AMWA Board of Directors.  Refreshments will be served.  Please RSVP to [email protected] with the names of family members attending (we will provide name tags).
